After finishing school at 16, I went to college and earned level one and two city and guilds in trowel occupations. I returned to education and got a level 3 diploma a few years later and began working aged 22, a year after my son was born.

I started out as a bricklayers apprentice with a restoration company in Essex and have now been in the trade for 15 years.

I have worked on a good deal of heritage refurbishment projects, including Wadsworth prison, restoring bishop's park, Fulham palace and St. Jude’s church in Gloucester Road, attaining a NVQ level 2 in trowel occupations whilst working on site.

After developing and refining my craft, I moved on from restoration and delved into the house building in London and Essex

On my journey, I have gained experience in all aspects of brick work and block work, ranging from repairs to new builds, internal and external.
